Entries for St. George open

Entries for the first round of the 2020 BFGoodrich Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship (AORC) are now open.

As it has over the past few years, the Cobb & Co Hotel St. George 399 will play host to the national championship’s season opener as crews look to start their season on a high.

Taking place during the first weekend of April in the rural Queensland town of St George, the South East QLD Off Road Racing Association (SEQORRA) run event will see competitors run six laps of the 67km course over three sections.

The course runs through a number of a man-made dams along a dusty surface, as well as featuring the highly popular Baker’s Dozen.

With entries open until 11.59pm on 13 March local time, Clerk of Course Barry Neuendorff was excited for what was in store this year.

“We’re really looking forward to this year’s St George 399 after a number of successful runs in the past and we’re expecting great things this year,” Neuendorf said.

“The field has continued to grow significantly over the past few years and we are hopeful we can continue that trend for this year’s event.

“With the Championship being five rounds now, there has been a rise in interest from drivers around the nation and it all starts at St. George in April – so hopefully everyone can make their way up north.”

Interested crews wanting to take part in the 2020 AORC season opener can download the form here and submit it to [email protected] by 13 March.
