St George 399 bigger and better in 2018

The St George 399 will play host to Australia’s best off road teams as they tackle round one of the BFGoodrich CAMS Australian Off Road Championship on the 4-6 May in St George.

Hosted by the South East Queensland Off Road Racing Association (SEQORRA), the event heads into its second year in 2018 and promises to be bigger and better than last year.

The purpose-built course, which is only nine kilometres from town, has been extended by 12 kilometres, providing even more challenges for Australia’s best off roaders.

Scrutineering for the event will take place on the Friday afternoon with prologue on Saturday morning, followed by three-laps on Saturday afternoon. Section two kicks off on Sunday with a gruelling six-laps, totalling more than 450 competitive kilometres.

In addition to the on-track action, there is plenty to do in St George over the weekend. The small rural town in south-west Queensland has really embraced the event and will hold the St George Show on Sunday 6 May with the local rodeo and fireworks on Sunday night following the St George 399.

Entries for the St George 399 are now open and the Supplementary Regulations for the event are available here.
