Seven your home of off road

Off road will return to the Seven Network on Australia’s #1 free-to-air streaming platform, 7plus.

After each round of the BFGoodrich Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship (AORC), a comprehensive highlights package will be available for streaming the week following the event.

The experienced on-air talent for each championship event has also been confirmed, with Greg Rust to host the opening round of the AORC at the Cobb & Co. St George 399.

The first AORC event takes place at St George on 19-21 March.

The coverage adds to Seven’s existing comprehensive motorsport programming, which features the Repco Supercars Championship and the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships, including TCR Australia, S5000 and more, as well as the recent inclusion of the RSEA Safety Motorsport Rally Championship.

Motorsport Australia Director of Motorsport and Commercial Operations Michael Smith:
“We’ve had a real focus on increasing the coverage and reach of these exciting championships in recent years and are thrilled to be working with Seven to further boost the profile of off road and rally in Australia,” Smith said.

“Seven’s support of motorsport is certainly showing through and this complements the coverage of the many other events already being shown by Seven in 2021 – including the Repco Supercars Championship and the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships.

“The live-stream of the Power Stage in particular will be a real innovation for rally fans to get closer to the action, while having a highlights package available in the days following each event will allow motorsport fans to get a great insight into how the events played out with extensive coverage across the field.”

Managing Director Seven Melbourne and Head of Network Sport, Lewis Martin:
“The 2021 motorsport season is already off to a flying start on Seven and we’re rapt to be bringing fans all the best action from the Motorsport Australia Rally Championship and Off Road Championship,” Martin said.

“Add this to our live and free coverage of the Supercars Championship, TCR Australia Series and S5000 Australian Drivers’ Championship, and Seven is without doubt your home of motorsport.”

Greg Rust, AORC host:
“I’m really keen to get back to St George for the opening round of the BFGoodrich Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship to kick off an exciting season,” Rust said.

“I’ve had the pleasure of attending many of these Championship events in recent years and I always am so impressed by the quality of competition and the dedication from the competitors, teams and fans. The off road community is certainly ready for a really competitive year and with more than 90 entries confirmed for the opening round, it’s going to be bigger than ever. I look forward to bringing the stories from the Championship to life.”
