Overview

Now in its 13th season, Porsche Carrera Cup Australia is the top one-make sports car series in the country an re-joins the Shannons Nationals in 2017.

Owned and operated by Porsche Cars Australia, the series exclusively uses the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 991) car – a purpose-built race car constructed at the home of Porsche in Germany.

The stars of Carrera Cup range from experienced high-profile racers and young up-and-comers to Porsche Carrera Cup Australia businessmen who hold their own behind the wheel of a race car.

This mix of professional and semi-professional drivers provides both the high level of popularity and exposure and strong foundations for a successful motor racing series.

These drivers demonstrate their skills at the very best motor racing events in Australia, with Carrera Cup’s premium race schedule showcasing the series to one million fans trackside and to a television audience of over six million.

With Carrera Cup’s first international appearance set for Malaysia in July, the 2017 season is one not to be missed.
