No easy journey for Price

International off road star Toby Price has revealed plans for a potential full-time four wheel career.

Having already established himself on two-wheels with a number of international and national titles on the biggest stages, the 32-year-old has begun looking at the possible transition between two wheel and four wheel racing in the coming years.

The multiple Dakar champion is no stranger to off road racing in a car, with four attempts at the Tatts Finke Desert Race in a trophy truck, victories at DEWALT SXS Motorsport Australia Championship rounds, as well as stints in Stadium Super Trucks.

Speaking one-on-one with Greg Rust on the Motorsport Australia website, Price believed he was deserving of every opportunity he was given.

“A lot of people kind of give me slack about moving to four wheels but the program doesn’t come easy. Nothing doesn’t really come easy in life,” Price explained.

“There are lot of guys in four wheels who can drive cars and there aren’t many seats available. It’s the exact same thing as a motorcycle.

“I didn’t just land on a Dakar ride overnight, it’s a four or five year plan. I am just trying to start a little bit early to get that driving time under the belt. Any bit of experience will help me in the future.”
