BFGoodrich Tires announced as naming-rights sponsor

BFGoodrich Tires will be the naming-rights sponsor of the CAMS Australian Off Road Championship for the next three years.

The partnership with the iconic American brand will provide opportunities to link with BFGoodrich U.S. motor sport events and for guest drivers from the U.S. to participate in the AORC in the coming years.

Michael Smith, CAMS General Manager of Motor Sport – Events says the partnership and the recently announced television deal with AirTime Media puts the AORC in a very positive position.

“We are confident the partnership with BFGoodrich is the start of great things for the championship.

“They have demonstrated their commitment to the BFGoodrich CAMS AORC with a three-year agreement and are very keen to add value for competitors, viewers and the off road community.

“We welcome BFGoodrich on board and look forward to working with them well into the future.”

On the announcement of the BFGoodrich sponsorship, Tim Hoare, Marketing Manager of BFGoodrich Australia, said “We are excited to extend our sponsorship of the CAMS Australian Off Road Championship.

“Motor sport is part of our DNA and BFGoodrich Tires is a brand synonymous with extreme performance off road, having recorded countless victories on the world’s most arduous off-road races from the Dakar Rally to the legendary Baja 1000 Desert race.”

In addition to the naming rights partnership, the winning driver and co-driver at each of the rounds will be awarded a $500 Virgin Australia flight credit voucher. The first three teams in the championship will also share in an additional $3,000 in Virgin flight credit vouchers.

Round one of the 2017 BFGoodrich CAMS AORC, the St George 399, begins this Friday with scrutineering at the St George Showgrounds, followed by all the racing action on Saturday and Sunday, which will be featured on a dedicated 30-minute Fox Sports broadcast following the event.
