The class winners have been confirmed for the 2025 BFGoodrich Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship (AORC) following a long and exciting season.
The AORC campaign spanned five rounds in five different states and territories, with some of the world’s best off road driving on display.
A frantic final day set the stage for a thrilling Outright AORC finish as Travis Robinson and navigator Paul Currie crossed the line fastest to claim a second AORC title in three years.
Robinson secured victory in the third and final section of the Kalgoorlie event to narrowly pip Kiwi Boston Morgan-Horan for round honours. In the end, just 20 seconds separated the two competitors after 163 kilometres of racing.
Travis’ brother Beau Robinson and navigator Shane Hutt finished fourth at Kalgoorlie, handing them runner-up honours in the AORC title race.
Fellow Western Australian competitor Jared Percival sealed third outright in the Championship after finishing third overall in Kalgoorlie.
Class winners
Extreme 2WD

Beau Robinson and Shane Hutt’s dominance in the Extreme 2WD class was plain to see, following class wins at Finke, Loveday and St George.
Robinson totalled 2862 points on the year, edging out Morgan Horan’s 2535 points for the year – despite the New Zealander claiming the class win ahead of Robinson at Kalgoorlie, alongside navigator Will Haddock.
South Australians Nicholas and Alex Burt scored two class podiums on their way to a third-place finish on 2107 points respectively.
Extreme 4WD
Outright champions Travis Robinson and Paul Currie were awarded the Extreme 4WD crown for 2025 in addition to claiming the Outright Championship.
After securing a third place finish in the Pro Buggy category at the opening round of the year in Pooncarie, it was an otherwise flawless season for the Western Australian duo as they would secure four class wins from four appearances starting at Finke, finishing the year with 2700 points.
Queenslander Brett Comiskey was resilient throughout the year, finishing on the podium at three of his four showings during the year, headlined by a second place finish at Kalgoorlie. Alongside navigator Corey Cooper, Comiskey finished the year on 1888 points, 268 points ahead of Brent Smoothy and navigator Garry Olsen.
Pro Buggy

The tandem of Jared Percival and navigator Matthew Gallasch were rewarded for their efforts in 2025 following three consecutive category wins to finish the year starting from Loveday.
Percival, who finished sixth at the opening round of the year, stormed home to finish with 2843 points for the year among the Pro Buggy cohort. Gallasch, who sat out the fourth and fifth rounds of the season, won the navigator accolade with 1379, while Josh Howat and Darren Agrela subbed into the second seat for the latter two rounds instead.
Paul Tuck-Lee (1754 points) and Cooper Western (1144 points) secured the remaining two podium spots for the year. Benjamin Boland was awarded runner-up for navigators in the class after his season next to Western.
Production 4WD
A trio of masterclass performances was the storyline for Norman Parker as he came away with the Production 4WD class win for 2025 with 1800 points. The wins came in Pooncarie, Loveday and St George utilising three different navigators (Tyson Parker, Izaak van der Woude and Symon Knight). Parker ultimately finishing third on the Production 4WD Navigator podium.
Geoff Pickering and Dylan Watson’s runner-up placings locked them into second for the season with 1043 points, while Simon Jones’ 900 points awarded to him for finishing first in-class at the Kalgoorlie Desert Race got him onto the podium for 2025.
Jones’ navigator, Drew Jones, finished first among the Production 4WD navigators for 2025 with the 900 points earnt following the final event of the season.
Prolite

Australian Capital Territorian Alan Dixon and Victorian navigator Kris Boyle demonstrated consistency was key with a runner-up finish at Pooncarie, a top five result at Finke and another runner-up at Kalgoorlie. The results were enough to earn the class title win with 1393 points.
John Towers and Bruce Young would finish second overall for the year after a great season which involved class wins at Finke and Loveday. Had the duet presented at Kalgoorlie, the pair may have came away with the class win for the year.
Ryan Pint and navigator Brendan Baxter’s win at the final round of the year secured 800-plus points to claim third place.
Sportslite
Luke Erceg’s performance at the Kalgoorlie Desert Race secured the South Australian’s Sportslite class honours for 2025 by overcoming Victorian Travis Conrad.
Erceg had the pre-event advantage at Kalgoorlie given he had 459 points banked from finishing second at Loveday earlier in the campaign. After the additional 900 points were added, Erceg claimed the title on 1359 points.
Conrad, settled for second with 792 points, while navigator Alistair Conrad claimed the navigator class honours for the end of season result.
Jeremy Lia and navigator Jamie Tilbrook finished the year third and second respectively after finishing third in the Sportslite category at Kalgoorlie.
Super 1650

Northern Territory representatives Gerry and Tanya Coop proved too strong in the Super 1650 ranks, claiming wins at Finke, Loveday and the all-important final round in Kalgoorlie to storm away class winners with 1870 points.
Kalgoorlie runner-up Corné de Wit slotted into second for the final race of the year and the class rankings, bolstered by navigator Pieter de Wit and finishing 2025 on 762 points.
Closely behind in third for the year were Victorians Tyler Owens and navigator Max Owens, who both finished the year on 600 points after winning the season opener at Pooncarie.
SXS Pro
Glen Ackroyd’s strength on course became undeniable after he and SXS Championship winning navigator Michael Price crossed the line first among SXS Pro competitors at Kalgoorlie to win the SXS Pro class for 2025.
Ackroyd finished the year on 2338 points, just 67 points ahead of South Australian Lachlan Bailey on 2271 points. Gregory Campbell finished third in class for the year with 2221 points, which included a win at St George.
Among the navigators, Price finished more than 500 points ahead of runner-up Kylie Dennis on 1881 points, and also Miguel Ilardi on 1739 points.
SXS Sport
In the SXS Sport field, Ross Newman made it a perfect four from four, tallying wins in Finke, Loveday, St George and Kalgoorlie, building an unmatched haulage of 2042 points, with navigators Gary Taylor, Chris Leonard, Frankie Fong and class-winning navigator Steve Pacey.
John White (332 points) and Dave Settle (142 points) encapsulated the podium.
SXS Championship

Despite not being crowned SXS Pro class winner, Lachlan Bailey still took home silverware for his efforts this season in the Motorsport Australia SXS Championship.
With a different points structure in place, Bailey’s consistency across each round of the season proved fruitful in the long run.
Bailey’s win at St George with Glen Ackroyd crashing out on Prologue, coupled with runner-up finishes at Pooncarie and Loveday was enough to help the South Australian to 2600 total points. Ackroyd’s win at Kalgoorlie rewarded him with 1050 points, however with 2512 total points for the year, he would have to settle for runner-up.
Gregory Campbell finished the year in third on 2300 points, thanks to three podium finishes.
Among the navigators, Michael Price (2512 points) would take the nod, as Bailey employed two different co-pilots for the season.
Bailey’s navigator for three rounds, Jordan Zollo (1872 points), ranked second, and Kylie Dennis finished third (1778 points) navigating for Daniel Challen.
