Kick starting your Off Road year

The Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club Inc are excited to announce the 2018 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash, Round Two of the CAMS WAORC, will be run from Carnarvon to Gascoyne Junction and return.

The planned schedule for the event is as follows:

  • Thursday 29 March – Scrutiny and static display for all race vehicles
  • Friday 30 March  – Prologue on the outskirts of Carnarvon
  • Saturday 31 March – Race from Carnarvon to Gascoyne Junction (220km approx.)
  • Sunday 1 April – Return leg from Gascoyne Junction to Carnarvon (220km approx.)

The Club also advises there will be no river section in the 2018 ‘Dash’.

The entry fee for this year’s Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash has been set at $350 for both cars and bikes, and competitors should expect a small additional charge for a Road Permit.

The Gascoyne Junction campsite will be located at the Junction Racecourse, which has facilities such as toilets, showers, bar area and shaded areas available.

There will be checkpoints and fuel stops at approximately every 50km along the course.

Organisers remind competitors that the landowners of the pastoral properties have generously given their permission for the event to proceed on their property. Driving or accessing the track outside competition will be considered trespass and the penalty applied will be automatic exclusion of the event.

Supplementary Regulations are currently being drafted and will be made available on the Gascoyne Dash website soon.
