CAMS has thrown its support behind the ‘Buy A Bale’ fundraiser, helping farmers dealing with drought and is encouraging its members to do the same.
CAMS CEO Eugene Arocca said the drought was having significant impacts across the country.
“Regional Australia is doing it tough right now and we are only too happy to get behind this worthy cause,” Arocca said.
“Many of these regional areas suffering through drought are actually home to a large number of motor sport events across a range of disciplines, so this cause is certainly close to our hearts.
“Some of these land owners who are struggling would also be those who let us on to their land to compete, whether in rally or off road events both at local and national level, so it’s time for us to return the favour.
“Where they can, I’d encourage our members to donate and support these farmers and buy a bale or donate what you can to help this worthy cause.”
